Stephen Bates joined Corporate Edge this week as Head of Sales and Marketing. Reporting to the managing partners and working closely with Chairman Chris Wood, he will develop and lead the execution of the new business strategy for the UK and Gulf markets.
Stephen joins Corporate Edge from the Engage Group where he spent four years working with the senior partners to transform the agency from a design and print company of 27 people into one of the UK’s leading communications consultancies and a team of 120.
Following his appointment Stephen commented on his plans for the business.
“I’m delighted to be given this opportunity to work at Corporate Edge. The agency’s world-class portfolio, heavyweight brand expertise and unpretentious attitude provide a compelling offer. I’m used to building up this kind of offer from scratch so to be given it on a plate as soon as I start is fantastic" he said.
"Following the development and launch of our new website, I aim to leverage the agency’s network of contacts. Later in the year I will be running several campaigns to increase the number of opportunities received from organisations we have not previously had contact with.
Traditionally Corporate Edge has relied on existing contacts and referrals for new business. It's great to have this secure foundation but our ambitious growth plan requires a more proactive business development strategy” he said.
