Key Bahrain business leaders, including International Adviser to the Crown Prince of Bahrain Will Griffiths, attended an event last week showcasing British strength in the creative and motorsport industries.
The event, hosted by HRH Duke of York Prince Andrew, was planned and managed by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), the British Government department responsible for supporting businesses setting up in the UK and helping British businesses grow internationally.
Alongside Will Griffiths, Bahrain representatives included Chairman of the Bahrain Formula 1 Circuit Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, First Secretary for the Kingdom of Bahrain Shaika Zeina Al Khalifa, and CEO of the Bahrain Economic Development Board Mohammad bin Isa Al Khalifaand.
Among the British business leaders who attended were Minister for Trade and Investment Lord Digby Jones, Formula 1 legend Jackie Stewart, and Chairman of Corporate Edge Chris Wood whose international brand consultancy recently established a dedicated office in Manama and who earlier this year developed and launched in partnership with Bahrain’s Miracle Graphics the brand for the island city development Durrat Al Bahrain.
Commenting on the event and Bahrain as a business location Corporate Edge’s Chris Wood said: “The Kingdom and its businesses are looking to grow nationally and internationally. This will require powerful brands to create awareness and differentation. We have extensive experience in developing such brands, particularly in Bahrain’s key sectors (finance, property development, leisure, and utilities), and this event is designed to showcase that work and get everyone networking”
“Beyond that, Bahrain’s location and reputation make it an excellent base from which to develop and manage projects across the GCC region,” he said.
