Be Tech Free

As you may have heard, we're trying something new at CorporateEdge to foster better communication between ourselves and with you - our clients and friends. To help us do this were switching off email every Tuesday. We call it our 'working experiment', and will continue to explore what (if any) impact there is in ceasing email for an entire day, every week.

Don't get us wrong, we believe email still has a place in modern businesses (for now), but I'm confident you'll also recognise that email often gets in the way of good-old-fashioned human interaction. My mission is to foster an environment where creativity, innovation and productivity can thrive. I don't know about you, but to date I haven't experienced any innovation sessions where participants sit in the same room, silently emailing each other 'ground-breaking' creative ideas!?

In the spirit of openness and collaboration, we'd be genuinely interested to hear your thoughts (both good and 'constructive'). Have you noticed an impact? Has your service level on a Tuesday been reduced? Or on the contrary, have you noticed the levels of care, attention and idea generation improving each week? Perhaps you feel inspired by our example and are trying something similar? Do get in touch and let us know.

Simply add your thoughts and suggestions to the comments below and we'll keep you posted on how the 'working experiment' it going.

So come on, Join the tech-free revolution and embrace a good old fashioned conversation today!

  1. Let us know what you think about our new-old-fashioned-yet-innovative approach to business communication…

  2. It’s a nice idea but will it catch on?

    • Thanks for your comment Steve. Straight to the point!

We’ve had plenty of great feedback from clients, suppliers and the team about the impact (positive and otherwise) of being ‘tech-free’ on Tuesdays. Internally it’s been a really positive experience – far less ‘junk’ to wade through – far more conversation and movement happening around the studio. Sometimes you just can’t avoid sending emails, but it’s the thought (and effort) to un-clog day-to-day communications that count!

So go on, why not try it for yourself and let us know if you find it a positive experience?
