One of the biggest challenges for businesses these days, large or small, is the attraction, recruitment and retention of top talent.  This is not necessarily a new thing but it is particularly challenging given the changes to the global economy and it's impact on the talent pool, the mobility of talent and the nature and evolution of the communicaiton channels available to us as marketers, communicators and HR professionals.

We wanted to share some of the startups that are playing in the social recruiting space as part of a series of posts looking at how technology can help you secure talent.

So in no particular order here are five you should have a look at and let us know what you think! (or if you know of any others out there worth talking about)

Note: All businesses described in their own words

  1. It’s such an interesting space to be in at the moment. The old ways of recruiting (form both a talent and company perspective) are increasingly costly in terms of time and money. Bringing the lessons from social, and broader brand-led communications is starting to see genuinely engaging ways to connect with the people that will matter most to your business – talent.

As you’ve mentioned Wayne – our People Journey pulls all of this thinking together in one place, bringing real benefit to the enterprise – as well as to the employee themselves – ensuring that each has a better understanding of the other, leading to longer lasting and more meaningful relationships.
